Log In to My Account

You'll need to enter:


  • Your user ID which is the login name you create yourself to use instead of your account number in online transactions.


  • Your password. This will either be the password that was mailed to you, a temporary one that a Participant Service Representative (PSR) provided to you, or one that you created yourself while logged into your account previously. If this is your first time logging into your account with the password that was mailed to you or provided by a PSR, you will see a prompt to create a new password before you access your account.


  • A one-time verification code sent to your validated email or phone number for two-step authentication. All TSP participants must use two-step authentication to log into My Account. If you already enabled this security feature by validating an email or phone number, you’ll select a validated email or phone number during the login process to receive your one-time code. When you receive the code, enter it into the appropriate field on the page to complete your My Account login. If you haven’t yet enabled two-step authentication, you will see a prompt to validate an email or phone number before you access your account.

Forgot your account number or user ID?

If you have forgotten your account number, you must ask the TSP to send it to you. For security reasons, you cannot receive this number via email or over the telephone. If you have forgotten your user ID but still have access to your account number, use the account number to access your account and then create a new user ID.

Forgot your password?

If you forget or lose your password, go to the My Account section of tsp.gov, select “Forgot your password?,” and follow the prompts.

If you know your password and want to change it, log into My Account, visit “Profile Settings,” and select “Change Your Password.”
